Jul 15, 2007 Author: Vijay | Filed under: Web Design

Favicons are basically the small image that appears next to the website’s address in the address bar of browsers. They help in adding a nice touch to the site’s design and create a unique identity for the website. Designing a favicon may be an arduous task for an amateur web designer. So, Favicon.ico generator is a service that helps you to create your own favicons.

Using the Favicon.ico you are able to design your own favicons in a few minutes. The service provides you with a 16×16 square grid as shown below.

Create your own CSS backgrounds

May 22, 2007 Author: Vijay | Filed under: Web Design

For most sites, the background of each page is as important to the design as is the main content area. The backgrounds come in varied types: striped, checked, plain and sometimes with a lot of weird designs. Among these, the striped backgrounds can be used to produce a pleasant visual effect when used in sync with appropriate designs.

Most professional designers create their backgrounds using Photoshop or the GIMP or the likes of them. But, for laymen it is very difficult to do so unless he/she is following a tutorial. Now, this is indeed time consuming and error prone. So, this service called Stripe Generator is the boon for all the amateur designers and time conservers out there.
