Send anonymous fake emails for free

Sep 7, 2007 Author: Vijay | Filed under: Privacy Protection

This site is basically for sending emails anonymously. That is, you can send mails to anybody you want, and you can make it seem like the mail is coming anybody you want.

This is really useful to send prank messages to the unsuspecting and you certainly can get a bang out of it.

Not only is it anonymous, you can make it appear to come from anyone you choose! Fancy winding up your mates? Your boss? Or anyone at all? Then head on over to the site and get sending!

There’s no signup, no registration, no fuss. You can even send fake emails with rich text; fonts, colours, etc.

Want to know how to do it?

Just follow the steps:

  • Enter the email ID of the sender
  • Enter the email ID of the receiver
  • Type in the subject
  • Enter your message (you can format it using a visual editor)
  • Enter the security captcha code
  • Click on the “send it” button

These are enough to send a fake email to anyone you want..

However there are limitations:

  • Due to excessive prank messages, the service adds a footer to every message stating it is a prank message
  • If a tech-savvy person looks at the full headers of the message, it will clear as crystal that it was sent by deadfake as is displays the X-mailer, X-originating IP and a whole host of related details.
  • Ensure that the domain name of the sender after the @ is a registered one with or without MX records. Otherwise the mail won’t be received.

The site is Deadfake, visit it and check it out. Have you ever sent a prank email? What sort of response did it get? Tell me about it!

On the sidelines, The Link Bait is hosting their first contest with 3 giveaways and it ends in, well, sometime from now. Check it out!

Create a online contact form, instantly

I had earlier posted about the service Spambox.us which enables you to setup a free email redirect in order to prevent spam emails. This is a service which is based on the topic of emails, but using this, you are able to create a free personal contact form online, by simply providing your email ID only. You could consider it a free contact form creator, but thats not all there is to it.

The signup process is pretty straightforward.

Create a contact form in 2 steps with Kontactr

Kontactr

Earlier I had discussed about creating a personal contact form with Contactify. Similarly, Kontactr is a service that lets you to create the contact form at their site and use the code to insert a contact form in your site. As I said, it is a pretty simple affair, not costing more than five minutes of your time. All you have to do is this

  • Sign up to Kontactr
  • Get the code and insert it into your site

When you are signing up to Kontactr, you should be signing up using the email address that you want the mails from the contact form to be sent to. As soon as you have signed up, a mail is sent to that email address for confirmation. Once you are done with the formalities, you login to the Kontactr account. Here you are provided with 2 sets of codes that you can insert into any part of your site to display the contact form. The first code is the traditional one using the regular table tags to construct the contact form. The next one is the AJAX enabled one, which consists of just 2 lines of code. So, I would recommend the AJAX widget for the contact form.

When you put your contact form in your site, it would look something like this:

Also, you can find a CAPTCHA feature as well. Thus the form cannot be abused by Spambots easily. You are allowed to change your email account as well, but each time you change, you are supposed to authenticate the change by confirming the verification mail you receive.

You can also simply link to the page on the Kontactr site where the form will be displayed. This will be given to you in the member area. Also, you are provided with Buttons to link to the contact form.

Referrer Track:

By using the same form on lots of different websites, it becomes difficult to identify the website from which a form is being submitted. You’ll no more have this problem. Along with every email that is sent, Kontactr adds a footer showing the URL of the page from which the form was submitted.

Create a temporary spambox for your mails

May 14, 2007 Author: Vijay | Filed under: Privacy Protection

I have come across sites offering free disposable email IDs for its users. Now in these type of sites we are forced to use the email inbox provided by them. Usually, these inboxes suck and lack most of the features in regular mail providers to view mails. So these services can only be used for the most basic of emails.

Also, these in these mailboxes we are unable to view the email with the hypertext that is a part of it. So using these disposable email ID services may be a pain sometimes. At this point, it would be better to use a service that provides a temporary redirection for your emails. This service is called spambox and enables you to setup a temporary email redirect.

Guerrilla Mail provides you with disposable e-mail addresses which expire after 15 minutes.

As Wikipedia states:

Disposable e-mail addressing (DEA) refers to an alternative way of sharing and managing e-mail addressing. DEA aims to set up a new, unique e-mail address for every contact or entity, making a point-to-point connection between the sender and the recipient. Subsequently, if anyone compromises the address or utilises it in connection with any e-mail abuse, the address-owner can easily cancel (or “dispose” of it) without affecting any other contact. Following the cancellation or replacement of a disposable e-mail address, the (ex-)owner need notify no more than one person/contact of the change. An example DEA might be ContactName@YourName.Provider.com.
