Website and Web Service Reviews
It is a fact that a lot of “get paid to blog” networks have been coming up around the web and Bloggerwave is one of them. It is a relatively new startup in this field when compared to sites such as PayPerPost, ReviewMe or SponsoredReviews.
Blog Approval:
You have to register at Bloggerwave and then submit your blog for approval. Your blog will be approved within 72 hours at the max. After your blog is approved, you are eligible to take up posting opportunities.
Taking Opportunities:
In a manner pretty similar to PayPerPost, you will have to look for an opportunity that suits the niche of your blog and pick up the opportunities. The opportunities will be available based on the rating of your blog. Since it is early days for Bloggerwave, the number of opportunities is small. But it is bound to grow over time and you should take advantage of that. The process is depicted graphically in this really unnecessary flowchart.

Approval of Posts:
As soon as you are done taking the opportunity, the post will have to be approved by an admin manually. There is no automatic approval system to avoid problems. It is essential that a post remain on the blog for atleast 30 days. This will be checked at random. Also, if your post is rejected, you can resubmit the post within a few days and get approved after correcting the problems.
Payment:
As the Bloggerwave FAQ states:
Compensation of various opportunities is based on the advertiser. After 30 days as well as at random we will check to see if the blog post is still live and still meets the Opportunity requirements. After reviewing, if we observe that the blogger has satisfied his/her agreement, he/she will immediately get paid. Payment will be issued ONLY via PayPal based on the PayPal e-mail address that has been provided to us.
I assume this can only mean that bloggers will be paid after 30 days, which I think is too much a time. This is a serious disadvantage for most people.
Controversy:
There were a few problems with Paypal and Bloggerwave and this caused payments that were paid out to be taken back. This problem has been completely sorted out and everything is running smoothly now.
Disadvantages:
Also, I find that there are long javascript codes to place in your blogs for the approval process and the last time I put that piece of code into the code editor in wordpress, the entire post crashed and I had to rewrite it all over again. That is certainly not a comfortable thing and I would have expected a simpler method.
I don’t think there would be any problem in trying out this service. And earning your first $10 would be as writing a post such as this which has been sponsored by Bloggerwave itself. So, give it a shot and tell me about your experiences. Also, put forth your opinions regarding Bloggerwave
.
5 People have responded. What about you?
I applied to Bloggerwave a little over a month ago I believe. I was approved, but never checked out the opportunities. I might have to do that when I have some time.
As for writing your posts, you should try writing your posts in word. That’s what I do…If anything happens like it did to you in WordPress you always have your copy and don’t have to retype everything!

I too had my blog approved, but the opportunities are very less. I can see only 2 in my dashboard.
@Gregg: The reason I dont use word is because it inserts certain characters causing problems relating to SEO. But may be I should be trying out something like Notepad2. Thanks for that.
@Nirmal: If your blog with a PR4 is not getting more than 2 opps, I doubt that there are more opps available.
I often enjoy monitoring startups like this. It seems to be a fairly saturated market with a lot of competition, so it will be interesting to see if they can reliably compete with the others.
As far as doing everything first in word, like mentioned above Word will add code to certain things (like cities you mention, etc.). When you copy and publish them, it will screw things up.
Back when I ran an NFL blog I was doing this and it destroyed my feed. I had to delete all of the posts I used with Word so that my feed would work again.
I recommend Windows Live Writer 2.0 if you prefer to use 3rd party blogging software.
@Kyle: I ll sure make a note of Live Writer. I have not tried it so far.. I’ll give it a shot soon. IMO, the Wordpress Visual editor sucks and would you be knowing about alternatives to that?
