Website and Web Service Reviews
Whether people know or don’t know entirely about web 2.0, the buzz seems to be on all the time. And with new startups deciding to go the web 2.0 way, more and more products seem to be naming themselves after some sort of a so-called web 2.0 standard. Examples include flickr, kontactr, zoomr and so on.
So, in case you are not so eager to think up a name for your web 2.0 site, then here is a handy service that generates a random web 2.0 name that you can use. Note that these web 2.0 names may not be actually available, but they will probably provide you with ideas that you can build on.
Here are a bunch of random names generated from the service:
If you can pickup any names for your website, then goodluck to you. But I frankly think that there are a lot of untapped web 2.0 names here and some of which are actually good to listen and spell.
Please do post your comments about the Web 2.0 Name Generator.

Service looks good, but I didn’t few of their Web 2.0 names.
Well, some names would not seem so good at first.. But once someone develops it to a great service, we will probably like it..
Something like meebo!
The first step would be to come up with a plan for a Web 2.0 service before choosing the name..
New theme for Site Guide. Looks great, BTW how come the url is siteguide.US?
Well, thank you Nirmal.. I wanted a easy to remember name. If I went for a .com or .net it would be one hell of a tough job to find one. I would have ended up with some name that I would probably forget..
So I chose this.
Congrats on your new venture as well!
Cool tool.
Good tool.. we can use it to name our friends…coz, its giving such a funny names..
BTW, in what basis it is generating the names?
It generates names based on 2 sets of names each which are supposed to be web 2.0 applicable.
i.e. one web 2.0 prefix + one web 2.0 suffix = web 2.0 name
Nice service . I will use it when deciding on my next blog name .
I feel this service will be more useful, if it includes an option to give our own suggestions for the name.
There is another site for such a feature.. Only that you can combine the keywords you want to use in the formation of a web 2.0 name. I will write about it soon.
A lot of the names seem to be already taken! Looks like a great tool though. Thanks for sharing!!

I am sure you can find atleast one if you keep on searching..
The service is really cool.
I don’t plan on starting a new blog or site but I tried it and it is really interesting. The two I checked (I had no reason to check, but I did anyway) were taken as .com but not .net, .org, etc. If I ever do start something new like this I’ll have to remember this site.
Web Script Labs takes an Ajax loader generator, Favicon generator and a Web 2.0 Domain Name Generator and places into one, nice location for you to generate some Web 2.0 goodness
It does seem interesting nicolas. I’ll check it out and try leaving a review.
Thanks for commenting!
I registered a “web 2.0″ (Ahem…!) name last year (www.hoozi.com).
Now I am using diovo.com for my blog. I like both of them very much than my other domains.
The fact is that, most of the names in the generator are taken as well, atleast the .com ones are..!
