Website and Web Service Reviews
This is a service that is almost similar to the earlier Take Note service from Staedtler. There are 2 differences however. One, the mail will be sent as printed text and not as handwritten text as in the case of Take Note. Two, this service is exclusive to people living in Canada only.
What is this all about?
EasyPost is a service that helps you to send a printed paper mail to any person in Canada. You are able to type in your own message. You should also enter the address of the recipient. Once that is done, the message is printed on Standard paper, put in an envelope and sent to the address you had mentioned earlier for free. The creators have also put a picture of the envelope and paper used to send the mail.

How much does the service cost?
For a limited time EasyPost is free, anywhere in Canada! This does mean that, in the future there may be a small charge. But instead of worrying about the feature, you should be using it while it is free for now.
As EasyPost says:
For a limited time you can use the service for free. In the future as we move out of beta testing, and expand our services and offerings, we may introduce a small fee, but our site will always be the simplest way on the web to send letters in the real world.
Other Features:
You are unable to format your messages. You cannot add attachments for now, but may be this can be possible in the near future. Also, Rich Text support and a few other features are coming soon as well. The letters will be posted at the end of each working day. You do not need to sign up to send the letters. All you need to provide is your email ID. The messages you send should be free from any obscenity (That’s obvious).
If a post is sent to a non-existent address or if it cannot be delivered, then the posts are returned and destroyed. The posts will not be re-sent. So, you’d better be giving the right address the first time itself.
What if I don’t know anybody in Canada?
It is a fact that not many of you may know people in Canada. So, EasyPost provides with links to find people in Canada. You can simply look up any particular name and you get their address. And then, you can send your mail to them, stating something nice. I certainly won’t be held responsible if you people get caught
.
4 People have responded. What about you?
I would be happy if they bring something like this to Brazil..
Great site and thanks for telling us about it..
I think India took the lead in introducing such kind of service.
Seems quite a nice service.. I’ll try it out!
I’m here in Canada and have never heard of this service. Either it was introduced yesterday or it just hasn’t taken off. I know people that work at Canada Post too, and so I would have heard something by now. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist. It’s just surprising that I don’t know about it. And I’m frequently in the post offices here, too:)
